Fern Smith's Freebies!

Hello Friends! I'm Fern from Fern Smith's Classroom Ideas!  I'm very excited to be invited to join iTeach Second. I am a full-time author of teacher resources and you can click here to find my store, Fern Smith's Classroom Ideas, at TeachersPayTeachers.
I've known ever since 8th grade that I wanted to be a teacher, specifically a Gifted teacher. My middle school teacher taught me that it was still cool being a girl and being smart! After traveling with my Navy husband, we were lucky to retire near my hometown, Orange Park, Florida. We love Florida and my husband is now a civilian contractor for his last command at NAS JAX. I am proud to say my daughter will be graduating shortly from FSU, where I graduated waaaaay back in 1989. My son is a junior in high school and will be attending FSU soon too! That's about it, other thaI love being outdoors and have five rather old doggies to keep me company during the day while I work from home.
During my career I have been a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th Bilingual, 6th and K-6th Gifted teacher. I have also been a Network Administrator, ETCOM Instructor, Adult Ed. Microsoft Office Instructor and my county's ESE Technology Curriculum Specialist. But my real joy, my passion, is blogging and making products to help other teachers.

    1. Thanks Peggy! Lilly is the mother, she is the oldest. In the cartoon image she is the brown 'tiger' striped one. She is a rescue from Pit Bull fighting in Texas, when we got her she was already named Tiger Lilly and she had two broken ribs, a broken leg and a chunk of her stomach bitten off. Everything healed without a vet. :( She also came to us pregnant with 13 puppies! We kept five, we loved them all so much! With such a rough start, you see why Queen Lilly now loves living on Fleming Island, Florida and giving an occasional weather report. :)
