Repeated Addition by Lori Flaglor

Hi everybody, it's me again, Lori Flaglor with my second blog entry. If you didn't catch my Freebie Friday click here to see my Addition and Subtraction with regrouping Printables.

I've been teaching for over 30 years and teaching today is a lot different from when I started. The demands on teachers are much greater now. We have to worry about the new teacher evaluations, state testing, and the new Common Core. When you feel yourself getting frustrated just remind yourself of why you got into teaching in the first place. Your love of teaching and children should always be
your first priority.
I'm thrilled to share with you my Repeated Addition Using Arrays product for this Show-n-Tell Saturday. This lesson will excite your children and have them fall in love with math. I have never heard one of my students recall a math page from a series and say they loved it or even remembered it. Teach this lesson and not only will they master the skill, but it will create a memory. Who knew Math could be so YUMMY!

Included is a Power Point presentation that teaches
the lesson step by step, click by click.

Next, I pass out 15 Cheeze-its per student,
a Math Mat, and a recording sheet.

The children view the slide and then make the repeated addition sentence using their crackers on their Math Mat. They record the repeated addition problem on their recording sheet.

Then, click on the slide and it shows the correct answer to the question.

This product contains 2 black line masters for additional practice, 2 learning centers, and also includes an Interactive Math Journal page.

This lesson is hands-on, fun and yummy!

Make sure you visit my TPT store and check out this product. The preview page contains a free sample printable page for you to print and use.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my Show and Tell Saturday.
Who knew Math could be so YUMMY!
Happy Teaching!
